A Painting Commissioned for Christmas

Preparing for a Commission Piece
Preparing for a Commission Piece

I know, I know — it's only August. But if you've ever thought about giving someone a truly personal, one-of-a-kind gift this Christmas, now is exactly the right time to reach out.

A custom painting is the kind of gift people keep for a lifetime. It's not something you grab off a shelf. It's created just for them — their home, their dog, their favourite stretch of coastline, a place that holds a memory they'll never forget.

Over the years I've painted some of the most meaningful things in my clients' lives: childhood homes, beloved pets, beaches that they walked on, a church that held childhood memories, a special sunset, a golf course. Every one of those paintings started with a conversation and a photograph.

That's what a commission is — a real conversation about something that matters.

What I paint for commissions:

  • Homes, cottages, and properties

  • Pets and beloved animals

  • Landscapes, seascapes, and lighthouses — PEI and beyond

  • Family memories, farms, and special places

  • Corporate and gift artwork

Commission pricing:

Size

Price

Small (8×10 – 11×14)

$350 – $550

Medium (12×16 – 16×20)

$650 – $950

Large (18×24 and up)

$1,000+

Each piece is painted in oil medium. We'll talk through the details together, and I'll keep you updated as the work comes together.

Spots are limited, and they fill up fast. To make sure your painting is finished and framed well before Christmas, I'd love to hear from you soon. The earlier we start, the more time we have to get it just right.

Reach out any time:

It would be my pleasure to paint something that means the world to someone you love.

Warmly, June
