Yes, summer always seems to go by in the blink of an eye! We've been fortunate here on the Island to enjoy mostly warm and sunny days, and so far we’ve been spared from wildfires—let’s hope that continues.
I hope you've had a chance to soak up the season too—whether it’s spending time with family and friends, enjoying local festivals, or simply relaxing by the beach. Summer is short, so let’s make the most of it!
In the Studio
I haven’t been as busy in the studio this summer—there’s just something about the warm weather and long evenings that calls me outside. I’ve been spending more time exploring, soaking up the scenery, and snapping photos that I’ll use as inspiration for winter painting sessions.
One of the highlights of my summer so far was leading a spontaneous art class at my campsite. It was a wonderful experience sharing creativity in such a relaxed and beautiful setting!
My artwork has been doing well in the various galleries and gift shops across the Island this season.
I’m thrilled to share that seven of my original paintings have sold, along with a great number of prints, notecards, and bookmarks. It’s always exciting to know that my work is finding homes near and far.
I encourage you to stop by some of the wonderful Island gift shops that proudly support local artists—you never know what treasures you might find!
