Helping our Local Businesses The local convenience store, the local restaurant, the local gas station.  What do they all have in common?  They need our business.  Our well-being and our neighbors well-being depends on all of us helping each other out by buying local.  We need to support each other in whatever way we can.  It has been a difficult and challenging year for us all. We are all starting to think about Christmas shopping (or trying not to think about it!)  This year why not purchase from someone local, something handmade or a gift certificate.   Have a look at my website to see if there might be something that you could purchase for a gift for someone that missed travelling to Prince Edward Island this year. Please feel free to share this email to anyone you think might be interested in receiving it. If you wish to opt-out at any time, you can do so at the bottom of this email.

In the Studio I am getting geared up to go through my pictures to see what I am going to be painting next. First, I went back to some of my paintings that I had set aside as they were giving me trouble.  I spent some time on one changing and adding.  Now I am happy with it. (see below) The others I have to do some more tweaking. ⁣One of the biggest problems I have is deciding what to paint.  It has to speak to me and want to be painted.  That might sound funny, but not every photo is a painting.  I didn't do as much travelling around this year with social distancing and such, so I am short of reference photos.  If you have something that you think would make a nice painting, drop me an email.  If I do paint it, I will be sure to send you a print of the completed work.

Tips for the Artist in You... I have belonged to five artist groups this year and I thoroughly enjoy being a part of those special groups.  If you don't already belong to an art group, I suggest you find a local group that you can join.  You will receive inspiration and support and best of all, it will make you want to paint more.

Enjoy some of my most recent work. As an exclusive subscriber to my newsletter, you are one of the first to see what original paintings are available before they go on my website.  To see more, you can always pop over to my website.

This is the painting that gave me some trouble.  I struggled with this painting trying to get all the shades of greens.  I left it and came back to it.  Now I am happy with the outcome.  Sometimes I need to just take a step back and refocus.

Please enjoy before I put it onto my website.
